AMBER REYNOLDS

Amber Reynolds is a New York City–based music director, pianist, composer, and educator working at the intersection of musical theater, comedy, and new work. A sought-after collaborator in the comedy and improv world, she frequently performs and music directs improv, sketch, and variety shows, at The PIT, Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), Brooklyn Comedy Collective, Second City, and other theaters across NYC, and has extensive experience teaching and leading music for classes, ensembles, and productions.
In addition to live performance, Amber creates music for podcasts, television, streaming, and digital media. She studied music composition at Mannes School of Music at The New School, and has performed internationally across North America, Europe, and Asia. She currently serves as Director of Musical Comedy and Resident Music Director at The PIT. She collaborates with artists and ensembles across both performance and development, as a pianist, accompanist, music director, coach, and creative partner.
